Three Main Places Where Fleas Live in your Home

  • Pets

Fleas can feed off the blood of animals, therefore it is necessary to check your pets if you believe you have an infestation. If you notice your pet scratching, losing hair or shaking their head, it is possible they have fleas. It is important that you treat you pets while simultaneously treating your home.

  • Indoors

If you find that your pets have fleas, it won’t be uncommon to find them inside your home as well. Inspect carpets, rugs and floorboards for a flea infestation by simply using a torch to look for live fleas. It is important to also check pet bedding and upholstered furniture for evidence of fleas.

  • Yard

Fleas love outdoor areas that are moist and shady. Check your yard for evidence of fleas, particularly in areas where your pet frequents, under trees and bushes and beneath decks.
